Pink Parasols
Spiraea
Big, fluffy, umbrella-like blooms cover this mounded
shrub in June. Bluish-green leaves turn a nice yellow- orange color in
autumn. Great for massing. For the first time, we now have a pink flowered
Korean Spiraea! Extremely large, parasol-like, blooms literally cover this
low mounded shrub in early summer to create a remarkable garden show. The
soft pink blooms float above the attractive blue-green foliage that is
beautiful in its own right. Tim Wood, Horticulturist at Spring Meadow
Nursery made this selection from a lot of seedlings that exhibited a wide
range of variability. Tim selected the richest pink flowered plant that
stood out against all the others. Like other white selections of Korean
Spiraea, Pink Parasols also has outstanding orange red autumn leaf colors.
